Coffee Canvas Crew - Workshop

Context:
I co-lead the Coffee Canvas Crew (CCC), an inclusive artistic workshop designed to inspire creativity among participants of all skill levels. Held three Tuesdays a month, the workshops foster a supportive community environment where individuals can explore various artistic styles and connect with others.

Role:
As co-leader of the CCC alongside my partner, Divana Vega, I have been instrumental in designing and facilitating the workshops. My responsibilities include developing engaging activities, guiding participants through dynamic exercises, and ensuring a welcoming environment for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Concept:
CCC was born from a personal journey of rediscovering the joy of drawing and the importance of finding one’s artistic voice. The workshop encourages participants to step out of their comfort zones, experiment with various artistic styles, and embrace their creativity. Through interactive sessions, we aim to enhance skills such as originality, flexibility, elaboration, and fluency, allowing participants to express their ideas and refine their artistic abilities in a collaborative setting.

Outcome:
Over the past year, CCC has successfully hosted more than 12 editions in different local cafes and restaurants, engaging more than 60 participants from diverse backgrounds. Together, we have produced over 1,500 drawings, celebrating creativity and community. The feedback from participants highlights the transformative impact of the workshops, fostering a strong sense of belonging and encouraging artistic exploration. The Coffee Canvas Crew continues to thrive as a space for connection and growth, reinforcing the idea that art can unite people and inspire personal development.
