Context:
I created a series of vibrant illustrations that were projected during the contemporary dance performance "Colorful," enriching the visual experience of the live show.

Objective:
The goal was to visually complement the choreography and music by projecting illustrations that interacted harmoniously with the dancers' movements, creating an immersive and dynamic performance.

Role:
Illustrator. I was responsible for conceptualizing and executing the visual projections that would enhance the emotional and artistic narrative of the performance.

Process:
The creative process began with understanding the choreography, music, and costume design. I drew inspiration from the colorful costumes worn by the dancers, as well as the fluidity and emotion of the contemporary dance style. I developed four unique visual compositions, each designed to synchronize with a specific dance sequence and song. The illustrations were created using a mix of hand-drawn techniques and digital enhancements, carefully designed to evolve alongside the dancers' movements, emphasizing the emotional flow of the performance. Through a collaborative process with the choreographer, Gabriela Pérez Fraga, I ensured that each visual complemented the tone of the performance, adding an extra layer of meaning.

Outcome:
The performance was well-received, with the visual projections adding an additional layer of emotional depth and dynamic energy to the show. Audience feedback highlighted how the illustrations enhanced the overall experience, elevating the choreography by creating a multi-sensory connection between the dancers, the visuals, and the audience.
